Hi, my name is Ólafur Ingi and i live in Keflavik, Iceland.

I was a commercial fisherman for about 19 years,  went to Vancouver Film School for 2 years, went back to sea and a year later I quit.

From 2008 I’ve been doing a lot of crafting,  drawing, painting, sculpting clay, woodcarving, carpentry and a few  other things I’ve forgotten about.    In 2009 I started making bracelets and necklaces from leather which I sold at a viking festival in Hafnarfjörður,  there I saw a lot of byzantine necklaces and chainmail, I liked the look and around 2015 I started experimenting with chainmail.

All the jewelry I make are handmade and I stand by the quality of my work.

So far I’ve made the most common weaves  European 4 in 1, Byzantine, Half Persian 4 in 1, Full Persian, Barrel weave and some other.

I hope to add to my knowledge of weaves and enjoy this craft for a long time.
